A seasoned advancement professional with over 20 years of experience, Robert Conrad is Vice President of University Advancement at Florida International University. In this capacity he oversees Advancement operations which includes Research and Prospect Management, Donor Relations, Annual and Planned Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, and Data Management and Gift Services. Under Conrad’s leadership during the 2008-09 fiscal year, University Advancement raised over $77 million – the most successful year in the history of the Division. As the Executive Director of the FIU Foundation, Inc., Conrad manages the corporate affairs of the Foundation and serves as the liaison between the Foundation's Board of Directors and the University.

Prior to joining the FIU community in 2008, Conrad served as Vice President of Central Development Services for the Florida State University (FSU) Foundation. In this role he managed planned giving, corporate and foundation giving, and regional and annual giving programs, and was the lead fundraiser on the largest gift in the history of FSU – $50 million. He previously served as Vice President of the Office of Planned Giving at the FSU Foundation from 2004 to 2006, during which time he rebuilt the planned giving program.

Prior to joining the FSU Foundation, Conrad served at Ohio University as Director of Development for Planned Giving from 1992 to 2001 and Executive Director of Planned Giving from 2001 to 2004.

Conrad received a law degree from Ohio Northern University and a bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University. He is married to Donna Jean Conrad and the father of two children, Sarah and Robert.
