 Richard Brilliant (FIU, MS, '93)
Vice president of Audit Services and Chief Audit Executive of Carnival since 2006. Since joining Carnival in 1994, his responsibilities have included global financial and operational internal audit projects, designing and implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance program, managing various special projects, and implementing the enterprise risk management framework. In 1999, Mr. Brilliant was working in Genoa, Italy as Audit Manager for Costa Crociere, an Italian cruise operator. Before joining Carnival, Brilliant worked as an analyst for Kenneth Leventhal & Co., where he was responsible for providing various advisory services to real estate and hospitality industry clients and financial institutions. After completing his undergraduate work at the University of Florida, he obtained a Masters of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. He has been a member of the FIU Foundation Board of Directors since September 2008. He currently resides in Hollywood, Florida with his wife and three children. |
