 Thomas (Tom) M. Cornish
(FIU, BBA, '85)
President and CEO of Seitlin Insurance, the largest independent privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firm in the state of Florida. Mr. Cornish is a licensed insurance agent holding both General Lines and Life, Health and Variable Annuity Licenses. He also holds a Certified Insurance Counselor designation (CIC). Prior to joining Seitlin, Mr. Cornish served for 19 years with SunTrust Bank in a variety of management positions. His last position was City President of SunTrust Bank Miami and Commercial Banking Executive for South Florida. He has served on FIU Foundation Board of Directors since April 2006, is former member of the Dean's Council of the College of Business Administration and is an FIU Medallion recipient. Mr. Cornish is active in civic, philanthropic and business organizations in South Florida and serves or has served on various organizations including Executive Committee or Board of Directors of the Beacon Council (past chairman), The Community Partnership for the Homeless, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation, , Assurex Global and Inductee, Miami-Dade College Hall of Fame. Mr. Cornish resides in Coral Gables with his wife Patricia and their other son. |
