 Dany Garcia
Partner of White Buffalo Entertainment. Dany Garcia has transitioned from the world of finance as founder and former Chief Executive Officer of JDM Partners LLC, a Miami-based investment advisory firm, to bring to the forefront her love of media. Ms. Garcia has worked in media in various capacities for the last 13 years with her partner Dwayne Johnson including such areas as sports entertainment, television and 10 major feature films. Ms. Garcia has a variety of media projects in production including 5 feature films, a Broadway production and a television mini-series. Ms. Garcia’s credits include producer for the upcoming "Cuba The Mini-Series", executive producer for such projects as "Theater of War", starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline, "Lovely, Still" starring Martin Landau and Ellen Burstyn, "Racing Dreams" with Academy Award nominee Marshall Curry, and the animated film "Holy Cow!" with partner Dwayne Johnson. A dedicated philanthropist, Ms. Garcia is also founder and president of The Beacon Experience, A Foundation for Success. The foundation’s mission is to assist in developing outstanding individuals and to provide opportunities for at-risk children to create and achieve their dreams. To this end, the organization is designed to provide both educational and social tutoring to a designated inner-city kindergarten class throughout their primary and secondary schooling. Upon their acceptance into college, the foundation will provide full scholarships for each one of its participants. In addition, Ms. Garcia is co-founder and vice president of The Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation. The Rock Foundation’s mission is to educate, empower and motivate children worldwide through health education and physical fitness. Ms. Garcia serves as a member of the University Of Miami Board Of Trustees, as a Director of the Florida International University Foundation Board and as a member of the National Board for the "I Have a Dream" Foundation and Dress for Success. She was recently named to the Board of Directors for Mednax, Inc. A NYSE listed company that is a leading provider of physician services across the country. |
