Gerald C. Grant, Jr.
(FIU, BBA & MBA,'78, '89)

Vice President and Branch Director of Corporate and Individual financial planning for AXA Advisors. Mr. Grant brought to AXA Advisors over eleven years of banking experience and was previously associated with Citibank, where he held the position of Branch Vice President and Cluster Manager. Prior to Citibank, Mr. Grant was a Branch Manager with Great Western Bank. While at Great Western, he was "Branch Manager of the Year" for two consecutive years. In 1991, he was named "Banker of the Year" by the Miami-Dade Urban Bankers Association. His experience and knowledge are now used to focus on providing estate planning, wealth accumulation and protection, life insurance, retirement planning, college funding, and other financial services. He is an active member of the South Florida community, serving on the foundation board of directors for Florida International University (FIU) since April 2006, and Florida A & M University (FAMU). Mr. Grant serves on the United Way Resource Management Committee, and is a past-president of the Florida International University Alumni Association. He also serves on the advisory board for Florida International University's Honors College. He is also a member of the 100 Black Men of South Florida, and in 1999, he was the recipient of the Community Service Award for AXA Advisors' Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Branch. He was a past President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). In 2005, AXA Advisors honored Mr. Grant by naming him the "Regional Honor Associate" for the company's Southern Division. He holds an A.A. degree from Miami-Dade College and both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from Florida International University. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 66 and 24 securities registrations. Mr. Grant lives in Palmetto Bay with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Jasmin and Gerald III.
