David L. Perlman
Founded Computer Services of Florida in 1961. Mr. Perlman then merged his company with ADP of New Jersey, New York, which he helped grow by overseeing their operations in the Central & Southern United Sates, Brazil & Canada. Gary Butler, who Mr. Perlman hired in 1984 as a salesman in Dallas is now its CEO. Mr. Perlman was a Founder of The American Friends of the Hebrew University, a current member of the Citizens Board of the U.M., and active with The Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Mr. Perlman joined FlU's Foundation Board in January of 1973 and served as Chairman from 1980-1982. He has also chaired and served on various committees. His wife Rita also worked at FlU with the library, and evaluating faculty grants. Mrs. Perlman is a retired high school teacher She started and ran children’s programs at Fairchild Tropical Gardens, where she served as a Director for many years. Mrs. Perlman was a Founder and President of a successful Investment club of 21 women and helped form a consulting firm to help citizens with their problems. Mr. and Mrs. Perlman have three children and seven grandchildren. Among their children are three attorneys and two MBA's. Mr. and Mrs. Perlman belong to The Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club, The Ocean Reef Club and The RHYC community. They are longtime boaters (ships sleepyhead & wake-up) and enjoy golf and tennis. Mr. Perlman graduated from the University of Miami. He and his wife Rita have three adult children and are residents of the Village of Palmetto Bay. |
