Isaac Zelcer
CEO and Founder of Isaco International, a leading producer of Men's underwear, sleepwear, hosiery, loungewear, and boxers. Mr. Zelcer is an active member of the community and is a board member of several organizations including Mount Sinai Medical Center, the Joint Distribution Committee (New York), the Prime Minister Council - United Jewish Appeal, the President's Club of State Israel Bonds, Jewish Home for the Aged, and Temple Menorah on Miami Beach. He is past President of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and past member of the Board United Way of Dade County. He is also a Founder at the National Parkinson Foundation and Recipient of their 1992 Presidents Medal. Mr. Zelcer has been the recipient of several awards including the Neckwear Achievement Award (1994) by Neckwear Association of America, was recognized as one of "12 Good Men" in 1998 by Ronald McDonald House, and was the Silver Medallion Honoree for 2001. He has been a member of the FIU Foundation Board of Directors since February 2008 and is a Founder of the FIU College of Medicine. Born in Havana, Cuba from Polish and Russian parents, Mr. Zelcer came to New York in 1960 with his wife Loly and children Alan, Elena and Robin. He is the proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren. He and his wife reside in Miami Lakes. |
